I'm Adding "iRV2" to My List of Favorite Places!

Anyone who enjoys the RVing lifestyle knows that RVers are some of the friendliest people around.  They thrive on sharing travel stories and are quick to offer a good tip or even some hands-on assistance when needed.  That's why I love poking around on forums designed specifically for the RV and camping lifestyles.

Several years ago, when Alan and I first began researching the purchase of our new travel trailer, I gravitated toward the forums at iRV2.com because of the Outdoors RV Owners group over there.  Previously, I would turn to the Open Roads forums sponsored by Good Sam but now I rarely visit over there.  (I can already see a future blog post – My Love-Hate Relationship with Good Sam and Camping World.)  It was such a huge benefit to us to lurk on the Outdoors RV Owners forum, gaining insight on the company and getting a feel for the build quality of the units and the loyalty of the customers.  But I found a number of the other forums on iRV2 both interesting and helpful, too.  Long story short (which is very unusual around here), I’ve pretty much migrated away from Open Roads to iRV2 and thought you may be interested in learning about the forums there.

My favorite forums are General Discussion, Travel Trailers, Camping Locations, Boondocking, Navigation and, of course, the forum for Outdoors RV owners.  (Twenty other manufacturers are represented in the owners’ forums, as well.)  There are many other active forums, too – specific forums for all types of RVs, forums on tow vehicles and towing, engines and transmissions, technology and going green.  There is even a forum on which new members can simply introduce themselves and one called “Rving Humor and Crazy but True Stories!"

So, I’m adding a link to the iRV2 forums both right HERE and to my list of favorite places at the right.  Stop by any time, if you’re so inclined, to pick up some tips, check out the campground review section or just to find a humorous story to brighten your day!
