Thank You for Your Service!

Life in our neck of the woods has been a bit hectic lately, and I am SO looking forward to catching up on my blog posts beginning this coming week.

But I did not want the weekend to go by without extending a heartfelt “Thank you!” to the Veterans who have served our country at any time, in any way and in any branch of the service.

The sacrifices you and your families have made allow me and my family, as well as millions of other Americans, to live peacefully in our homes and communities, enjoying the freedom that you have provided and protected.

Thank you for your service.

  1. Thanks for commenting on this. As a veteran, its always nice to feel appreciated. What I find interesting is how the number of veterans has dropped so much (the WWII generation is dying off). As time goes on, there will be fewer and fewer veterans to appreciate.

I enjoy the blog, and look forward to the day (20 months from now) when I hit FI and can expand my travels.

    1. Thanks so much for your comment, Kevin - and, of course, for your service. Alan and I attended the WaterFire Salute to Veterans in Providence, Rhode Island, this weekend and I'm drafting a post on that now. It was absolutely lovely and very moving. I wish more people understood and appreciated the many types of sacrifices made by members of the military and their families.

Congratulations on your countdown! I trust that you'll be using the time between now and then to research many delightful travel destinations to add to your bucket list. Enjoy the planning and the best of luck with your journey to FI!
