In either case, your friendship is certainly something to be celebrated, and you've expanded it to encompass your husbands, too! There's just something so comfortable about enduring friendships like these - they develop a patina of sorts and, in my mind, are similar to a well-loved book or a favorite, worn quilt.MARYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06717399651012721086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5556831972810821789.post-57855737702049184952020-01-12T15:28:51.125-05:002020-01-12T15:28:51.125-05:00Although we aren't RVers, I am fully onboard w...Although we aren't RVers, I am fully onboard with your opinion of road trips (and I love your quote)! We have several friendships like yours with Peg and Bill. The friend I've known the longest (we were about 1 and 2... she is older :) when we met) and her husband joined my husband and me on our recent trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. It's so great when all four get along well. I have been known to leave the house for a grocery run with the outgoing mail in hand, and return with both the groceries and the outgoing mail. Two things work in my favor when blogging about past travels. One is a calendar I print before each trip that notes each night's campground and the planned activity of the day. It doesn't contain many details, but it does keep my memory on track. The other is the hundreds (and sometimes even thousands) of pics I take with my DSLR camera. Those are the cheat sheets in play behind my writing, not any type of magical memory, I assure you.MARYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06717399651012721086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5556831972810821789.post-47052358292901532582020-01-12T02:37:39.271-05:002020-01-12T02:37:39.271-05:00Well, it's good to know that we will finally s...Well, it's good to know that we will finally share your adventure! I am at a loss, though, as to how you hold on to information and observations so as to blog about them (probably in detail) a year later. A photographic memory? An informal journal? A voice recorder? You have a personal "cloud" for your memory? Whatever it is, it is impressive. At my age, my blog IS my memory. Wait...I've got it! You're a robot with artificial intelligence. But you seem so real...Mike Millshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03053039844141113175noreply@blogger.com
